Summary
A Midsummer’s Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon’s right hand, bane of many a faery queen’s existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl’s death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.
Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone’s come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck’s help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.
Review
Why do I love Julie Kagawa? Let me count the ways. First, she is a fantastic writer! A writer, who writes what some (me) may consider my favorite book series. The storyline is unique and thought provoking. After reading the fist book, I talked about this concept with anyone I met. Second, her characters are amazing. Can we say, “Ash?” Ok, fine – not just Ash. Puck, especially after this novella, has become so much more complex. I’m truly intrigued to see what kind of decisions he makes moving forward. Third, NOVELLAS! My lifesavers for the in-between. The most agonizing part of being the “reader” is the wait for the next book to come out. These novellas really make that wait so much easier.
So, Julie, my official thanks to you for being a rockstar!
What I’ll tell my friends. A must read. And if you really need another reason, it’s free on Barnes & Noble.
